Is it true that if you cheat on one of your files on GTA 4 you can still get the achivements they block out if you go onto another file or also can you delete the file with the cheats and get the achivevements?
yeh it is, when i clocked it the first time without cheats i got a lot of agta 4 cheatschevements and when i clocked it again with cheats it did'nt effect them on xbox 360. but if you use a cheat and save the game in a profile the cheat will stay on your mobile.
the cheats don't stay on the profile. If you restart the console, it gets unblocked.

your achievements won't be affected if you use cheats.
An easy way is just to save and turn off your console. Restart and then do the achievement.
